Seeing "Failed to Authorize" or "Authentication Failed" in IPTV Smarters Pro? You're not alone — it's one of the most common IPTV errors. Here are all the causes and fixes, in order of likelihood.
What Does "Failed to Authorize" Mean?
This error means IPTV Smarters Pro could not authenticate your credentials with the IPTV server. It doesn't mean your subscription is cancelled — it usually means a simple login mistake or a temporary server issue.
Fix 1 — Check Your Credentials (Most Common)
- Open IPTV Smarters → tap the profile you added → Edit User
- Check the Server URL — make sure it starts with
http://orhttps:// - Check Username — copy/paste from the message, don't type manually
- Check Password — passwords are case-sensitive, check for spaces
- Re-enter all fields carefully and tap Save
Fix 2 — Check Your Subscription Status
If your subscription has expired, IPTV Smarters will show "Failed to Authorize". Contact your IPTV provider (VivimateTV customers: WhatsApp us) to check your expiry date and renew if needed.
Fix 3 — Check Your Internet Connection
- Open a browser and go to google.com — does it load?
- If on Wi-Fi, try switching to mobile data to test
- Restart your router and try again
- VPN users — disable VPN, it can block IPTV servers
Fix 4 — Update IPTV Smarters Pro
An outdated version of IPTV Smarters Pro can cause authorization failures. Open your app store, search for IPTV Smarters Pro and tap Update if available.
Fix 5 — Clear App Cache
- On Android/Firestick: Settings → Apps → IPTV Smarters → Clear Cache
- Then reopen the app and re-enter your credentials
Fix 6 — Delete User and Re-Add
- In IPTV Smarters, long-press your user profile
- Select Delete User
- Tap Add New User and re-enter all credentials from scratch
Fix 7 — Try a Different IPTV App
If IPTV Smarters keeps failing, try your credentials in TiviMate (Android TV) or VLC (all platforms). If they work there, the issue is with IPTV Smarters itself — try reinstalling it.
